ARTIST STATMENT
One of my lifelong fascinations - and this is what attracts me in electronics as well - is the similarity between the very big and the very small. Just like the microscopic tends to look like the telescopic in the natural world, the resemblance between PCB's and the industrial sites that produce them is uncanny. With this in mind I have taken these obsolete electronics on a road trip to photograph them on location, the background of smoking factories representing their habitat. In these "portraits" they blend in completely, their protective coloring perfectly matching with the desolate industrial landscape that is both their native soil and burying ground.
